O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the representation dated 30.07.2025 accordance with law, conduct the enquiry and grant the compensation for the land acquired by the respondents for the purpose of extension of Chennai-Kanyakumari Industrial Corridor, for the property comprised in Punsai Survey No.1065/2A5, for an extent of 0.1 Ares, in Patta No.749, situated at Thimmavaram-Authur (Part-1), Chengalpattu Taluk, Chengalpattu

District.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the property comprised in Punsai Survey No.1065/2A5 to an extent of 0.1 Ares in Patta No.749, situated at Athur-madura Thimmavaram (Part-1), Chengalpattu Taluk, Chengalpattu District is originally owned by the petitioner and constructed the shops for rent. This being so, in the year 2020, the respondents herein sent a summon to the petitioner for the acquisition of the said property for the purpose of extension of ChennaiKanyakumari Industrial Corridor and fixed a compensation of sum of Rs.29,49,716/-. However, the process was delayed due to Covid-19 and therefore, the petitioner could not get compensation on time. Hence, he sent a representation dated 30.07.2025 to the respondents, seeking compensation after conducting detailed enquiry. But, the said representation was not considered by the respondents, as on date. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition.

Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the respondents have deposited the compensation amount in L.A.O.P.No.2732 of 2025, before the Principal District Court, Chengalpattu. Therefore, the petitioner can very much approach the Court below, by producing the proof of his ownership for the said land and based on the same, this Court may direct the Principal Court, Chengalpattu to release the compensation amount.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

In view of the above facts and circumstances of the case, there is nothing on the part of the respondents to decide the petitioner's representation dated 30.07.2025, since the award amount has already been deposited before the Principal District Court, Chengalpattu in L.A.O.P.No.2732 of 2025. Therefore, the petitioner is directed to approach the Principal District Court with appropriate application for

withdrawing the aforesaid award amount, by producing the records in regard to the ownership of the land purchased on 04.11.1992 and thereafter, the Principal District Court is directed to release the amount, in the evident if they satisfied with the evidence produced by the petitioner for the ownership of the said land.

With the aforesaid observation and direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
