O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed to direct the the second respondent consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.09.2025 and to disbursement of 1/4th Share of Compensation amount a sum of Rs.2,88,874/- (797 Sq.Mts) of acquired lands to the petitioners.

2. Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

The case of the petitioners is that the undivided property comprised in S.Nos.366/6B, 367/7B2, S.No.367/7C2 and 367/7E2, to an extent of 3189 sq.mts is an ancestral property of first petitioner's husband viz., D.B.Thangamuthu, who died intestate, leaving behind the petitioners' as his legal heirs. From the aforesaid property, the Government has acquired an extent of 79 cents for National Highways-716B-Bypass Road in Thatchur to Chitoor. Thereafter, award

was also passed in favour of land owners. Being the legal heirs of the one of the co-owners, the petitioners are also entitled to 1/4th share of compensation as awarded. However, without proper verification, the respondents disbursed 3/4th share of sum of Rs.8,66,985/- as compensation to other shareholders viz., Mr.Balakrishnan, Mr.Ganesan and Mr.Eshwaran, who are the brothers of deceased Mr.D.B.Thangamuthu. Therefore, the petitioners herein made a representation dated 21.04.2025 & 09.09.2025 before the respondents seeking disbursement of 1/4th share of compensation. But, till date the said representations was not considered. Hence, the petitioners have come forward with the present writ petition.

4. Though many grounds have been raised in this writ petition, learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that, it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the respondents to consider the petitioners' representation dated 09.09.2025.

5. Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioners' representation dated 09.09.2025 would be considered and appropriate orders passed, within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

6. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

7. Considering the limited relief sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioners, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioners' representation dated 09.09.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
