ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner under Section 528 of BNSS, 2023 to direct the second respondent / police to expedite the investigation in Crime No. 02 of 2018 and file a final report within a stipulated time that may be fixed by this Court.

When the matter is taken up for hearing today, learned Public Prosecutor (Puducherry) would submit that the investigation in the case has been completed and the final report has been filed as early as 06.01.2018, referring the case as civil in nature. 3.

Per contra, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that Final Form / Report dated 06.01.2018 has neither been served on him nor his client.

Learned Public Prosecutor (Puducherry) is directed to serve a copy of Final Form / Report dated 06.01.2018 to the petitioner forthwith and if at all petitioner is aggrieved, he is at liberty to challenge the same in the manner known to law. 2/4

Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition stands closed. No costs.
