ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 126(2), 296(b), 115(2), 118(1), 351(3) of BNS, 2023 in Crime No. 170 of 2025, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that due to previous enmity, while the defacto complainant was driving his car, suddenly the petitioner entered into the road and blocked the car and forced him to get out of the car and attacked him with knife indiscriminately and caused severe injuries. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Therefore, he prays for grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent raised objection stating that the petitioner has attacked the defacto complainant with knife. Though it is stated that it is simple injuries, the petitioner is having bad antecedents of five previous cases. Hence, he opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the fact that the petitioner not only attacked the defacto 2/5

complainant and also threatened him to withdraw the case filed against the petitioner herein earlier and in this case also he caused severe injuries and also considering the bad antecedents of the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
