O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction directing the respondents to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 30.12.2024 and 04.08.2025, seeking compassionate employment.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.
3. The petitioner is the daughter of Late M.A. Babu, who was employed as a Village Assistant at Chitharkadu Madura Palaiyur Village, Cheyyur Taluk, and died in harness on 23.03.2001. After his death, the petitioner's mother submitted a representation seeking compassionate appointment for the petitioner's brother, and pursuant to the said representation, the 3rd respondent issued a Compassionate Appointment Certificate on 18.10.2007 in favour of her brother. Since her brother is not interested in the said employment and as the petitioner has no source of income, she submitted representations dated 31.12.2024 and 04.08.2025 seeking compassionate appointment.

4. Considering the fact that the petitioner is now aged about 42 years and has submitted her representations seeking compassionate employment belatedly, after a lapse of 23 years from the date of her father's death and also taking into account that the petitioner has been able to survive normally all these years, the representations submitted by the petitioner seeking compassionate employment cannot be considered.
5. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. 20.11.2025 Index : Yes/No Speaking Order: Yes/No (shr) To 1.The District Collector Collectorate Office Chengalpet, GST Road, Chengalpattu District-603 001 2.The District Collector Collectorate Office, Kancheepuram Tiruvannamalai Kanchipuram Road, Thaiyar Kullam, Kanchipruam-631 501.
