ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus
3/8 directing the respondents in particular the 3 rd respondent to change the Date of Birth of the petitioner from 24.05.1993 to 24.01.1994 in the petitioner's book and mark sheet of both 10 th and 12 th standards in the Degree Certificate and to issue a fresh Certificate at the earliest possible date. 2.Heard Mr.N.Stalin, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.S.Prabhakaran, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents.
3.The grievance of the petitioner is that his actual Date of Birth is 24.01.1994 and for this purpose, the petitioner is relying upon the Birth Certificate that was issued to the petitioner by the Municipal Office of Kangeyam. According to the petitioner, his parents had given a wrong date of birth and as a result, the same has been entered in the mark sheet as 24.05.1993. Presently, the petitioner has applied for selection conducted by
4/8 TNUSRB and the petitioner wants this correction to be carried out in the mark sheet and other certificates issued by the School and College. The representation made by the petitioner was not considered and hence, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court. 4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the rd respondent to act upon the representation made by the petitioner on 07.11.2025 and carry out the necessary corrections in line with the Birth Certificate that has been issued to the petitioner by the competent authority. This process shall be completed by the 3 rd respondent, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 5.This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No Costs.
