The present Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to conduct further investigation and include all the offences, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 10.11.2025. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Public Prosecutor (Puducherry), on instructions, submitted that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Crime No.102 of 2025 was registered on 04.11.2025 for the offences under Sections 296(b) and 115(2) of the BNS. He further submitted that the investigation in this case has been completed and the final report has been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Karaikal, on 14.11.2025, which is yet to be taken on file. Recording the submission made by the learned Public Prosecutor (Puducherry), this Criminal Original Petition stands closed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to challenge the charge sheet in accordance with law, if so advised.
