The petitioner herein apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the punishable offences under Sections 4(1)(A) & 4(1) (C) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition (Amendment) Act, 2024 in Crime No.359 of 2025, registered on the file of the respondent, seeks anticipatory bail. 1/4

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused were found to be in illegal possession of 180 ml of XXX Rum. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, petitioner is ranked as A2 and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prayed for grant of bail to the petitioner.

4. Per contra, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that, apart from this case, petitioner has 11 previous cases. Hence, he prayed for grant of bail to the petitioner.

5.Considering the nature of offence and also considering the bad antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
