ORDER

This writ petition is filed to direct the respondents to pay difference in Gratuity as per 15th wage settlement dated 29.05.2025 with 10% interest to the petitioner.

2. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final hearing at the stage of admission itself.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner joined the service of the respondent corporation as Driver on 14.01.1993 and retired on 29.02.2024 as Special Grade Driver. Subsequently, all terminal benefits were settled to him based on his salary, however, the respondents have not extended the 15th wage settlement benefit. Therefore, the petitioner has sent a representation dated 27.10.2025, seeking payment of difference in gratuity with interest. However, the said representation was not considered, as on date. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition.

4. Though very many grounds have been raised in this writ petition, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would suffice, if this Court, issues a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation Page No.2 of 4

dated 27.10.2025, as expeditiously as possible.

5. Learned counsel appearing for the respondents submits that, the petitioner's representation dated 27.10.2025 will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

6. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

7. Considering the limited relief sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.10.2025 with applicable interest and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
