Mr.P.Kumaresan Additional Advocate General assisted by Ms.D.Sowmi Dattan for R2 & R3 Common Order These writ petitions have been filed challenging the Final selection list for the post of Sub-Inspectors of police and Station Officers (Tamilnadu Fire Subordinate Services) published on 27.10.2025 and quash the same and consequently, direct the 2nd Respondent to re-select the candidates in a transparent manner and in accordance with the stipulations imposed by this Hon'ble Court.
2. Heard, Ms.R.Revathy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.P.Balathandayutham, learned Special Government Pleader for R1 and Mr.P.Kumaresan, learned Additional Advocate General assisted by Ms.D.Sowmi Dattan for R2 & R3.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the participated in the recruitment for the post of Sub-Inspector of Police pursuant to the Notification No.1 of 2023 dated 23.05.2023 under the category of MBCWomen. However, it is the grievance of the petitioners that persons, who __________Page 3 of 6
secured lesser marks than the petitioners were selected in the provisional list. Challenging the same, the present writ petition is filed.
4. Per contra, learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondents would submit that the entire selection was made by the Judicial Committee appointed by this Court in W.P.Nos. 32347 of 2024 etc., batch dated 22.04.2025. As against the said order, an appeal filed in W.A.No.2552 of 2025 was dismissed by the Division Bench by its order dated 08.10.2025 wherein, the Division Bench has issued a direction to publish the result. Pursuant to the said direction, the result was published whereby, the petitioner in W.P.No.44446 of 2025 secured 75.75 marks and the petitioner in W.P.No.44441 of 2025 has secured 75.50 marks whereas the cut off marks for MBC-Women has been fixed as 76 and, if at all the petitioner has any grievance, the petitioner has to challenge the Judicial Committee report or impleading themselves in the appropriate manner. He would also submit that the respondents have no part in the entire selection process, since the same was made by the Judicial Committee. Accordingly, he prayed for appropriate orders.
5. In view of the same, these writ petitions are dismissed with liberty to the petitioners to workout their remedy in the manner known to law. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. The respondents are directed to publish the Judicial Committee report in the official website of __________Page 4 of 6
