Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of habeas corpus to call for the entire records relating to the detention order dated 26.03.2025 in C3/D.O./38/2025 passed by the 2nd respondent herein and quash the same and direct the respondents to produce Palraj, male, aged 22 years, S/o. Murugan, who has been detained in Central Prison, Cuddalore, before this Court and set the petitioner's son at liberty.

(Made by Dr. ANITA SUMANTH, J.) The date of arrest was on 26.02.2025 and the date of detention is 26.03.2025. Hence, the period of detention provided for under Section 13 of the Tamil Nadu Preventive Detention Act, 1982, has itself expired and the order of detention has outlived its purpose. Recording the same, this habeas corpus petition is closed. No costs.
