The present Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent Police to complete the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.533 of 2025 before the jurisdictional Court. The case of the petitioner is that based on a complaint alleging that the petitioner's sister was missing, leaving her three children, a case in Crime No.533 of 2025 was registered for "Woman Missing" on 21.10.2025. However, thereafter, there has been no progress in the case. Therefore, the present petition has been filed. 3.
Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent Police, on instructions, submitted that during the course of investigation in Crime No.533 of 2025, it came to light that the woman alleged to be missing, had gone along with her neighbour, one Baskar. He further submitted that the investigation is in progress and the respondent Police are taking steps to find out the whereabouts of the petitioner's sister. 2/4

Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), this Criminal Original Petition stands closed. The respondent Police are directed to continue with the investigation and take it to it logical end at the earliest.
