Heard.

2. The petitioner has filed this application seeking permission for assistance in recording her evidence in O.P.No.366 of 2025, which is a petition for grant of succession certificate. The affidavit filed in support of the application states that the petitioner is a deaf and dumb person by birth and is unable to communicate orally.

3. It is submitted before this Court that Mr. D. Suresh, Graduate Teacher (B.T. Assistant, Science), CSI Higher Secondary School for the Deaf, Chennai District, is proficient in sign language, and his Identity Card and Aadhaar Card are placed before thisCourt.

4. There is no contesting respondent in the O.P. The matter had earlier been transmitted to the learned Master for recording of evidence on 31.10.2025 and was returned to Court on account of the present application.

5. Considering the averments in the affidavit and the submission made, this Court is satisfied that appropriate assistance has to be provided for facilitating the recording of the petitioner's evidence.

6. Accordingly, this application is allowed and the said Mr. D. Suresh is appointed to assist in interpretation/sign language communication for the purpose of recording the petitioner's evidence before the learned Master in O.P.No.366 of 2025. The petitioner shall bear the conveyance and other expenses of the assistant. The learned Master shall accordingly proceed with the recording of evidence in accordance with law. No costs. 24.03.2026 ay
