a. A Permanent injunction restraining the defendants, directors, partners, all their principal officers, staff, men, agent, servants, successors, assigns in business, representatives and any other person from infringing the copyright of the plaintiff by using scenes and background music from the film "Vinnaithandi Varuvaya" (VTV), and thereby restraining the defendants from in any manner infringing the copyright of the plaintiff;
b. A Permanent injunction restraining the defendants, directors, partners, all their principal officers, staff, men, their agents, affiliates, representatives or any one acting on their behalf from releasing, publishing, communicating to the public, streaming, exhibiting the scenes and background music from the film "Vinnaithandi Varuvaya" (VTV) in the film "Aaromaley" through any digital or OTT platform, particularly in Disney Hotstar, in any matter whatsoever;
c. A preliminary decree be passed in favour of the plaintiff directing the defendants to render a true and faithful accounts of all profit made by them using the scenes and background music from plaintiff's film and a final decree be passed in favour of the plaintiff for the amount of profit thus found to be have been made by the defendants together with interest, after the defendants have rendered accounts;
d. for the costs of the suit.

JUDGMENT
The suit was filed for remedies in respect of alleged copyright infringement. Pursuant to negotiations, the parties reached a settlement and filed a joint memorandum of settlement. The joint memorandum of settlement has been signed by an authorized signatory of the plaintiff and by the proprietor of the first defendant. Respective counsel have also signed. The second defendant is merely a platform on which the content is hosted.
2. By communication dated 26.11.2025, the plaintiff called upon the first defendant to make modifications to the movie and the first defendant has carried out such modifications. Therefore, plaintiff has agreed that they have no objection to the movie being broadcast. I find no legal impediment to the issuance of a decree in terms of the compromise.
3. Therefore, the suit is decreed in terms of joint memorandum of settlement dated 05th December, 2025. The said joint memorandum of settlement shall form an integral part of the decree. In view of the settlement between the parties, there will be 3/5
no order as to costs. Consequently, connected applications are closed.
