Mr.A.Gopinath, Government Advocate (Crl. Side) COMMON ORDER The petitioner, who were arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 11.10.2025, for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 204, 319(2) of 1/4

BNS, in Crime No.249 of 2025, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The allegation against the petitioners is that the petitioners joining hands with other accused followed the defacto complainant and prevented him by claiming themselves as police party and snatched away a cash bag containing a sum of Rs.55 lakhs from the defacto complainant. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners are ranked as A1 & A3 and they are in custody from 11.10.2025 and they have not having any previous case. Hence, he prayed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

4. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that there are totally 11 accused in this case. He further submitted that the accused A1 to A7 have been arrested, and only a sum of Rs. 7 lakhs has been recovered so far. He also submitted that the investigation is still pending. Hence, he opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

5. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record including the First Information Report.

6. These petitioners posing themselves as a police party intercepted the defacto complainant and snatched a bag containing cash of Rs.55 lakhs. Further, the investigation is pending and only portion of money is recovered and remaining is yet to be recovered. Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners.
