This writ petition has been filed for direction to the respondent to furnish the copy of the statement which was given by the petitioner dated 26.02.2025 on the complaint before the respondent. 1/4

It is seen that the petitioner can very well invoke the provisions under the Right to Information Act seeking the copies which he is entitled to. As such, he cannot directly invoke the provision under Article 226 of the Constitution of India without exhausting the available remedy.

In view of the above, this writ petition is dismissed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to apply for the copy of the statement which was given before the respondent under the Right to Information Act in accordance with law.
