ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioners representation dated 1.11.2025 and to permit registration of a Rectification deed to include the missing power document No. 406/ 1988 and the principals name Mr. Srinivasan S/o. Munusamy Nayakar in the sale deed registered as Document No. 1148/ 1992.

2. Mr.Stalin Abhimanyu, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. By consent of the parties, the main petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in this case, a sale deed was registered in Doc.No.1148 of 1992 based on a valid Power of Attorney deed executed by one Srinivasan (Principal) in favour of his Power Agent. In the said sale deed, the document number and the principal's name were inadvertently omitted.

5. Further, he would submit that the said omission is purely clerical and unintentional, which does not affect the validity or genuineness of the transaction. Hence, a representation dated 01.11.2025 was made before the respondents, requesting them to permit for registering a rectification deed to rectify the above errors. However, the same was not at all considered by the respondents till date. Hence, this petition.

6. In reply, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation will be considered within a period of 4 weeks.

7. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and also perused the entire materials available on record.

8. In the case on hand, in this case, a sale deed was registered in Doc.No.1148 of 1992 based on a valid Power of Attorney deed executed by one Srinivasan (Principal) in favour of his Power Agent. In the said sale deed, the document number and the principal's name were inadvertently omitted. According to the petitioner, the said omission is purely clerical and unintentional, which does not affect the validity or genuineness of the

transaction. Hence, a representation dated 01.11.2025 was made before the respondents, requesting them to permit for registering a rectification deed to rectify the above errors. However, the same was not at all considered by the respondents till date.

In view of the above, this Court directs the respondents to issue notice to the concerned parties and after conducting proper enquiry, decision shall be taken on the aspect of permitting the registration of the petitioner's Rectification deed, on merits and in accordance with law. The aforesaid exercises shall be completed by the respondents within a period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
