ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the third respondent to pass final orders on the petitioners' representations dated 09.06.2023 and 26.06.2023 seeking for exchange of their patta lands for the Government Poramboke land, as per G.O.Ms.No.201, Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Land Disposal Wing (LD3(1) Section, dated 10.05.2022.

2. The petitioners claim that they have been in possession of the Government Poramboke land for a long number of years and they are also owners of neighbouring patta land. They seek for exchange of the land to suit their convenience. They claim benefit of G.O.Ms.No.201, dated 10.05.2022. Since their representations have not been considered till date, they have filed this writ petition.

3. Mr.C.Jayaprakash, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4. No prejudice will be caused to the respondents if a direction is issued to them to consider the representations of the petitioners dated 09.06.2023 and 26.06.2023 on merits and in accordance with law. within a time limit to be fixed by this Court. Accordingly, this Court directs the third respondent to pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law, on the petitioners' representations dated 09.06.2023 and 26.06.2023 seeking for exchange of their patta land for the Government Poramboke land, as per G.O.Ms.No.201, Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Land Disposal Wing (LD3(1) Section, dated 10.05.2022, for the property morefully described in the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the aforesaid representations submitted by the petitioners. With the aforesaid directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No Costs. Consequently, connected W.M.P.No.52569 of 2025 is closed.
