PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, 1950, directing the 1st respondent to take action on petitioner's representation dated 12.11.2025 and to direct the 1st respondent to appoint the new investigating officer/ 3rd respondent to investigate Crime No.325/2025 on the file of the Kumaran Nagar Police Station, Chennai under the supervision of 1st and 2nd respondents. O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed for issuance of a Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to take action on the petitioner's representation dated 12.11.2025 and to direct the 1st respondent to appoint a new investigating officer viz., 3rd respondent to investigate the case in Crime No.325/2025 on the file of the Kumaran Nagar Police Station, Chennai under the supervision of 1st and 2nd respondents.

Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents submitted that the investigation in Crime No.325 of 2025 has been completed and after conducting due investigation, further action has been dropped in the case and final report has been filed before the learned XXIII Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet on 29.09.2025. Since the petitioner has refused to accept the closure report, which was sent to the petitioner through WhatsApp, steps are being taken by the respondents to send the same by RPAD.

3. In view of the above, the Criminal Original Petition stands closed as infructuous. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to challenge the final report in the manner known to law, if so advised. 27.11.2025 shl To 3/5
