The present Writ Petition (Criminal) has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to issue a Non-Traceable Certificate, by considering the petitioner's representations dated 19.09.2025 and 06.10.2025.
Mr.K.M.D.Muhilan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice on behalf of respondents 1 and 2. In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel on either side, this Writ Petition (Criminal) is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. Notice to the third respondent is dispensed with inasmuch as no order prejudicial to his interest is passed. 4.
The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the representations of the petitioner dated 19.09.2025 and 06.10.2025, relating to the loss of his original title deeds, were considered and that the petitioner 2/5
was directed to furnish certain particulars in the light of the circular dated 01.04.2022 issued by the Director General of Police in RC.No.2029209/Gen 1(1)/2022, in respect of issuance of a Non-Traceable Certificate. He further submitted that if the petitioner complies with the requirements under the said circular, he would be issued with a Non-Traceable Certificate. 5.
Recording the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Writ Petition (Criminal) stands disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to approach the second respondent Police and furnish all particulars as required under the aforesaid circular issued by the Director General of Police. On receipt of such particulars, within a period of six weeks, the second respondent Police shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law.
