The petitioner who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 27.07.2025, seeks bail in S.C.No.247 of 2024 for the offence punishable under Sections 147, 148, 302 of IPC, in Crime No.236 of 2023, registered on the file of the respondent.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is facing trial in S.C.No.247 of 2024 on the file of the learned XV Additional Sessions Judge, Chennai and subsequently, he had not appeared before the trial Court, and non-bailable warrant was issued on 26.11.2024 and the same was executed on 27.07.2025. He also submitted that the petitioner will undertake that hereafter he will regularly appear before the trial court on all hearing dates and also stated that he is prepared to comply with any stringent conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Therefore, he prays for grant of bail to the petitioner.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent submitted that apart from this case, petitioner has four previous cases.

4. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the fact that the petitioner has four previous cases and this petitioner absented for more than 8 months and if he is released on bail it will stall the trial process, hence this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. 2/4
