ORDER
Ms. S. Pavithra, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for respondents. With the consent of both the parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal today at the stage of admission itself.
2. The petitioner joined the service of the 1st respondent Corporation as a Conductor in the year 1995 and retired in the year 2022 as a Special Grade Conductor. Claiming eligibility under the 14th Wage Settlement, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 06.10.2025 seeking payment of the differential Provident Fund, Gratuity, the difference in commutation, EL Surrender, and Pension arrears amount along with interest at 8%. As the said representation was not considered by the respondents, this writ petition has been filed.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is covered under the 14th Wage Settlement and is entitled to all consequential benefits. Therefore, he prays for issuance of appropriate directions to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.10.2025 and pass orders in accordance with law, within a short time period. 2/4
4. Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the 1st respondent will consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.10.2025 and if the petitioner is found entitled, the benefits would be extended in accordance with law.

Considering the aforesaid submissions, this Court directs the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.10.2025 and extend the benefits under the 14th Wage Settlement, including the differential differential Provident Fund, Gratuity, the difference in commutation, EL Surrender, and Pension arrears amount, if applicable, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that if the petitioner is entitled for the aforesaid benefits, the 1st respondent will pay interest for the belated payment @ 6% p.a. from the date on which the amount became due and payable till the date of actual realisation.
6. With the aforesaid directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
