ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehend arrest for the alleged offence under Sections 406, 420 120B, 34 of IPC r/w Section 5 of TNPID Act 1997 in 1/4

Cr.No.116 of 2024 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The prosecution case is that the petitioner joining hands with other accused collected a sum of Rs.2.34Crores from various persons and defaulted to repay the chit amount, which led to the registration of the FIR and the present case.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that since the petitioner is the wife of A3, she has falsely implicated in this case. She has not having any overt act and she was not the part of the management the chit funds. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that the petitioner is ranked as A4, Though in the FIR, the petitioner's name was not mentioned about her role which revealed that the petitioner is also one of the Directors and investigation is going on. Since huge amount was involved in the case, he vehemently opposed the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

6. I have gone through the records and connected materials, it revealed that a the petitioner is also one of the Directors and he also part of 2/4

the management and huge amount has been swindled under the pretext of running chit fund. Hence, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

7. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 25.11.2025 Vv To
