ORDER

The petitioner apprehends arrest for the alleged offence under Section 74, 296(b), 115(2), 118(1), 351(2) of BNS Act, 2023 r/w Section 3(1)(r), 3(1) (s), 3(2)(va) of SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) New Amendment Act, 2015, in Crime No.654 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police seeks anticipatory bail.

2.This petition has been filed an application seeking anticipatory bail on the ground that no offence is made out against the petitioner and a false complaint has been lodged against the him. On perusal of the FIR, it reveals that the petitioner scolded the defacto complainant by abusing her caste name and also attacked the victim lady with hands and legs. Further, he also threatened her with dire consequences. Though it is stated that a false complaint has been lodged, no material has been produced before this Court to substantiate the contention that it is a false case. Since the FIR clearly makes out a case under the SC/ST Act, this petition is not maintainable. 3.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. gbi 03-12-2025
