ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the first and third respondents to disburse the High Cash Incentive of Rs.30,00,000/- (Rupees Thirty Lakhs only) to the petitioner for securing second place and Silver

Medal in the P52 Senior Male in the First World Para Taekwondo poomsae Championships - Bahrain 2024 as provided under G.O.(Ms) No.18, Youth Welfare and Sports Development (S1) Department dated 29.07.2019 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 24.12.2024 to the third Respondent and follow up representation dated 12.11.2025 and online application in the SDAT web portal 16.09.2025 within the time frame stipulated by this Court.

2.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner is an accomplished paraathlete from the State of Tamil Nadu who represented India at the 1 st World Para Taekwondo Poomsae Championship 2024, held at Manama, Bahrain from 26 th to 27 th November 2024, where the petitioner secured a Silver Medal. The further case of the petitioner is that he is entitled to a cash benefit of Rs.30,00,000/- as per G.O.(Ms) No.18, Youth Welfare and Sports Development(S1) Department dated 29.07.2019. In order to avail the cash benefit, the petitioner made a detailed representation on 24.12.2024 to the third respondent and also filed an

online application for the said purpose on 16.09.2025 in the official website of the third respondent. However, the same has not been considered by the respondents till date. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may direct the third respondent to consider the petitioner's application and to disburse the cash benefit to the petitioner in terms of G.O.(Ms) No.18, dated 29.07.2019 within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation will be considered and orders will be passed within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

5. Heard the learned counsel for both side and perused the materials available on record.

6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the

limited request sought for by the petitioner, this court directs the third respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 24.12.2024 and also the online application dated 16.09.2025, strictly in terms of G.O.(Ms) No.18, dated 29.07.2019, after providing an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
