ORDER

This Criminal Miscellaneous petition has been filed by the defacto complainant seeking cancellation of the anticipatory bail granted to the second respondent by this Court in Crl.OP.No.29617 of 2025 dated 31.10.2025.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that after availing the benefit of anticipatory bail, the second respondent engaged with another woman for the purpose of marriage. He further submitted that when the defacto complainant lodged a complaint before the authorities, during the enquiry, the second respondent and his family members threatened her with dire consequences. Hence, he prayed to cancellation of the anticipatory bail.

This Court on perusal of the order passed by this Court in Crl.OP.No.29617 of 2025 dated 31.10.2025, finds that the second respondent and his family members have threatened the defacto complainant during the enquiry conducted by the authorities. In this regard, if the petitioner was threatened, she is at liberty to initiate separate proceedings by lodging an appropriate complaint before the competent authority.

It is seen that the enquiry was conducted pursuant to the complaint lodged by the petitioner before the Social Welfare Officer, and the second respondent appeared before the authority pursuant to the notice issued and complied with the bail conditions, including appearance before the respondent police.

5. In view of the above, this Court finds no reason to interfere with the order granting anticipatory bail. Accordingly, the Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is dismissed.
