ORDER

The present Criminal Original Petition has been filed to call for the records relating to the F.I.R in Crime No.49 of 2025 and to quash the same.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the accused abused and assaulted the de facto complainant with hands, causing injuries, and subsequently, intimidated the de facto complainant.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that this is a case and counter-case. On account of a civil dispute pending between the parties, a false complaint has been registered against the petitioners.

4. Per contra, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would submit that in the present case, the petitioners have abused, assaulted and intimidated the de facto complainant. The victim has suffered injuries and was taken to the hospital. The Accident Register (A.R) copy is also available, and the investigation is at a preliminary stage.

5. Taking into consideration the fact that the investigation is at the initial stage and the victim is stated to have suffered injuries, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the investigation, as no sufficient ground has been made out for quashing the proceedings. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petitions stands dismissed. Consequently, connected Criminal Miscellaneous Petition stands closed.
