JUDGMENT

(Judgment of the Court was delivered by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Aggrieved by the order dated 11.08.2025 in WP No.2927 of 2024, the State has preferred this writ appeal.

2. When the appeal was taken up for hearing, learned Advocate General has produced the status report filed by the second appellant.

3. In the said status report, it stated that the Government has accorded financial sanction vide G.O.Ms.No.(D) No.635, Home (Police X) Department, dated 05.05.2026 for a sum of Rs.3,38,17,146/- towards arrears amount of rent from 01.01.2022 to 31.03.2026 and the arrears amount has been paid to the land owners for the aforesaid period through ECS on 15.05.2026 and they have acknowledged the receipt.

4. Learned Advocate General also ensures that the revised monthly rent will be paid to the land owners regularly in future.

5. In view of the aforesaid, nothing survives for adjudication in the writ appeal. Accordingly, the appeal is closed. There will be no order as to costs. Consequently, CMP No.665 of 2026 is closed.
