This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking a direction to the learned Sessions Judge, Special Court for Exclusive trial of cases under 1/5

POCSO Act, Dharmapuri to dispose the case in Spl SC.No.303/2023 within a specific period.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the cognizance of the case was taken on 04.11.2023 and that there has been no progress in the trial for the past two years.

3. In view of the above, the learned trial Judge is directed to follow the mandate of Section 35(2) of the POCSO Act and to complete the trial as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
