This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to Respondents 1 to 4 to remove the Electricity Service Connection No.305-009-2064 situated in the land of the 2 nd petitioner in Survey No.1234/1A1B, Sri Mathy Nagar Extension III, Kundrathur A Village, Kundrathur Taluk, Kancheepuram District.

2. As no adverse order is passed as against the fifth respondent, notice to the fifth respondent is dispensed with and the writ petition is disposed of in the admission stage itself.

The case of the petitioners is that he has purchased vacant plots in S.No.1234, Sri Mathy Nagar Extention-III, Kundrathur A Village, Kundrathur Taluk, Kancheepuram District in and vide four sale deeds dated 13.06.2003, 09.08.2006, 16.11.2006 and 24.11.2006 and mutation has also been effected in the revenue records in the name of the petitioners. While that being so, the petitioners came to know that the fifth respondent has illegally obtained the electricity service connection from the fourth respondent in respect of Survey No.1234/1A1A1 without the consent of the petitioners and the E.B. Box and service connection have been fixed in the property of the second petitioner in S.No.1234/1A1B. In this regard, 2 nd petitioner gave a representation on 16.12.2024. However, no action has been taken by the fourth respondent till date. Hence, the petitioners have come forward with the present writ petition.

In view of the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, third respondent is directed to consider the representation of the second petitioner dated 16.12.2024, conduct an enquiry after serving notice on the petitioners as well as fifth respondent and pass appropriate orders. In the enquiry, if it is found that EB Box and service connection are erected in the petitioners' land, necessary action shall be taken to remove or shift them to the fifth respondent's land as per law.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
