O R D E R

The petitioner seeks a direction to Respondents 3 and 4 to consider the request for name change in the Aadhaar Card (Aadhaar No.6213 1520 6953) of the petitioner's daughter under the exception handling process and update the name from 'J.JOVINA' to 'JO DANICA' in the Aadhar Card.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that originally the petitioner's daughter's name was registered as "Praisy Jovina" and in the Aadhaar Card issued on 12.03.2021, her name has been shown as "J.Jovina" and subsequently, the petitioner applied for name change on 14.06.2022 and it has been changed to "JO DANICA" and the same has also been published in the Government Gazette on 22.06.2022 vide Regd.No.TN/ CCN/467/2012-14. The learned counsel submits that as the name has been 2/5

changed in the Government Gazettee, the petitioner applied for name change in the Aadhaar Card but the same has been rejected. Hence the petitioner sent a representation dated 06.10.2025, but the same has not been considered till date. Hence the present writ petition.

3. Considering the limited relief sought for by the petitioner to consider the representation, this Court directs Respondents 3 and 4 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 06.10.2025 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed. of. There shall be no order as to costs.
