ORDER
Mr.L. Jaivenkatesh, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for respondents.
By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The relief sought in this writ petition is a direction to the 2nd respondent to provide Low Tension domestic electricity service connection to the petitioner's house situated at No.6/113, Ellaiamman Kovil Street, Siriyar Kalur, Kottamedu, Chengalpattu District 603108, by considering the petitioner's application dated 06.05.2025 on obtaining Indemnity Bond from the petitioner within a time frame.
3. The petitioner is residing at the above mentioned address and constructed a house. It is further stated that the land in which the said house is situated, is classified as an unobjectionable poramboke land. The petitioner submitted an application dated 06.05.2025 to the 2nd respondent seeking grant of Low Tension domestic electricity service connection for the said premises. However, no orders have been passed on the said application till date. By 2/5
ventilating the aforesaid grievances, he has come up with this writ petition praying for appropriate directions.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is ready and willing to execute an indemnity bond in favour of the respondent Electricity Board, undertaking to abide by any conditions that may be imposed, so as to enable the respondents to consider the request of the petitioner with regard to grant of domestic electricity connection. He further submitted that it would suffice if this Court issues direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 06.05.2025 and pass orders on merits within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
5. The learned counsel for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that upon due enquiry, appropriate orders will be passed on the petitioner's application in accordance with law. However he has has no objection for issuance of suitable directions in the above regard.
6. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.
7. Considering the above submissions, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 06.05.2025 for grant of Low Tension domestic electricity service connection, after affording an opportunity to the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on merits and in 3/5
accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
8. With the aforesaid directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
