ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) A transformer has been erected and installed in front of the school, which is one of the grievances sought to be ventilated through this public interest litigation. The other issue is with regard to the fencing by the temple authorities.

2. In the absence of there being any allegation that in the course of fencing, temple authorities are encroaching upon the school playground, no direction can be issued in that regard.

3. As far as allegation that transformer has been installed in front of the school, abutting the playground, this allegation is required to be examined by the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO), under whose control the transformers are operating. If the petitioner submits a representation to the concerned authority, TANGEDCO, through the local authority, they shall examine the complaint to find out whether the transformer has been installed on a prohibited land, including school playground and thereafter, appropriate action shall be taken.
