This application has been filed under Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seeking extension of time to enable the sole arbitrator to complete the proceedings and to pass the final award.

2. When the application was taken up for hearing today, learned counsel for applicant submitted that the respondents were set ex parte by the arbitrator by order dated 10.01.2025. Learned counsel further submitted that the proceedings are now at the stage of passing of final award.
3. Taking into consideration the submissions made by learned counsel for applicant, this Court is inclined to extend the mandate for a period of four (4) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order for passing the final award.
