ORDER

This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking to modify the condition imposed on the petitioner in para No.8 of the order dated 17.11.2025 in Crl.O.P.No.31283 of 2025.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has 1/4

been granted bail by this Court on 17.11.2025 with a condition that "the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on his executing a bond for a sum of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand only) with two sureties, each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Sholingur, Ranipet District, and on further conditions that:.. and that the petitioner shall report before the Judicial Magistrate, Sholingur, Ranipet District daily at 10.30 a.m., for a period of two weeks". The learned counsel further submitted that the Advocates practising at the Sholingur Court have passed a resolution restraining any member from appearing on behalf of the accused in Crime No.222/2025 and the local advocates are also refusing to sign surety affidavits.

He further submitted that the deceased in this case was a practising advocate before the Judicial Magistrate Court, Sholingur, and other Courts in Ranipet District. Due to this, there exists considerable hostility and tension within the local Bar against any one who attempts to stand as surety for the petitioner. Owing to these prevailing circumstances, it has become practically impossible for the petitioner to comply with the bail condition requiring sureties to be produced before the Judicial Magistrate Court, Sholingur, despite his earnest efforts. He further submitted that the petitioner has been confined in prison for the past 158 days, and prays for modification of the bail condition imposed in Para No.8 of the order dated 17.11.2025 in Crl.O.P.No.31283 of 2025.

3. Heard both sides.

4. Considering the aforesaid submission made by the learned counsel for 2/4

the petitioner, this Court is inclined to modify the bail condition as imposed by this Court in para No.8 of the order dated 17.11.2025 in Crl.O.P.No.31283 of 2024 as follows:

"para 8.the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on his executing a bond for a sum of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand only) with two sureties, each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Kanchipuram, and on further conditions that:" ...

(b) the petitioner shall report before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Kanchipuram daily at 10.30 a.m., for a period of two weeks."

5. With the above modification, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition stands ordered.
