ORDER
The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 4 th
respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 26.08.2025 and representation dated 01.09.2025 and make appropriate correction in the petitioner's mother death certificate as "G.Shantha Kumari".
2. It is the contention of the petitioner that petitioner's mother died intestate on 03.07.2009 and her name was incorrectly recorded as "G.Julite Shantha Kumari" instead of "G.Shanthakumari" in the death certificate. Except for the death certificate, all other Government documents of his mother, namely, Birth Certificate, Voter ID and ration card, her name is correctly mentioned as GShantha Kumari. Hence, the petitioner has submitted an application dated 26.08.2025 to the fourth respondent seeking necessary correction in the death certificate. Since, the said application has not been considered, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 01.09.2025 , but no action has been taken so far. Hence, the present petition has been filed.
3. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on records carefully.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also taking
into account the limited relief sought by the petitioner, this Court directs the fourth Respondent to consider the application dated 26.08.2025 and the representation dated 01.09.2025 submitted by the petitioner with regard to making necessary correction in the death certificate of the petitioner's mother and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
