ORDER

The writ petition was disposed by this Court on 17.11.2023 specifically directing TIIC to take into consideration the judgment of the Supreme Court in Central Bank of India -vs- Ravindra [(2002) 1 SCC 367].

2. Mr.B.Ravi Raja states that despite the specific direction given in paragraph No.5(ii), the respondents have not complied with the directions. He states that when interest on interest cannot be calculated as directed by the Supreme Court, the TIIC has done exactly that error. 3.In matters of contempt, unless and until the order is so egregiously erroneous, this Court should not exercise the power of quashing an order. Hence, the petitioner is at liberty to challenge the calculation that has been given, which according to him is contrary to the directions given by this Court on 17.11.2023, by way of a separate writ petition. 4.The Contempt Petition is closed.
