ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the first respondent to cancel the order passed by the third respondent dated 20.11.2023 under which joint patta has been issued.

2.The petitioner claims that he and his siblings are the owners of the property, which is the subject matter of the order dated 20.11.2023 passed by the third respondent, which is the subject matter of challenge in this writ petition. The petitioner has given a representation on 20.08.2025 seeking for cancellation of the impugned order dated 20.11.2023 issued by the third respondent under which a joint patta has been issued.

3.Mr.S.Arumugam, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4.This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation.

5.No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner's representation, as stated supra, is considered, on merits and in accordance with

law, after hearing the objections of the neighbouring land owners and any other third party whom the third respondent deems fit to enquire within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

6.For the foregoing reasons, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the first respondent to pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation dated 20.08.2025 seeking for cancellation of the order dated 20.11.2023 passed by the third respondent under which a joint patta has been issued, after hearing the objections of the neighbouring land owners as well as any other third party whom the first respondent deems fit to enquire within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
