ORDER

The petitioner asserts that he purchased a house in Survey No.149/4B, which forms a part of Anugraha Satellite Township at Cuddalore. Since fresh election of the Anugraha Satellite Township Residential Welfare Association could not be conducted for various reasons, the petitioner states that a Special Officer was appointed. After the expiry of the term of such Special Officer on 23.11.2024, it is stated that no steps have been taken to conduct the election or to extend the term of the Special Officer. The present writ petition has been filed in the said facts and circumstances.

2. Mr.U.Baranidharan, learned Special Government Pleader, accepts notice for all the respondents. On the basis of written instructions, he submits that proceedings are ongoing in relation to the extension of the term of the Special Officer. He also submits that most of the residents are tenants and that, therefore, the requisite coram is unavailable for conducting of fresh election. After providing reasonable opportunity to all concerned, he submits that, the petitioner's representation would be considered and disposed of. 2/4

Considering these submissions, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the first respondent to conduct an enquiry in relation to the petitioner's representation dated 25.08.2025 and pass orders thereon within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing reasonable opportunity to all concerned.
