Respondent(s) PRAYER; This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents and particularly the 2nd Respondent to consider the representations submitted by the petitioner on 03.09.2025 and 14.11.2025 wherein a request has been made by the petitioner to consider the petitioner firm for participating in the Limited tenders being floated by the Greater Chennai corporation, within a reasonable time frame as fixed by this Honourable court.

ORDER
This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents and particularly the 2nd Respondent to consider the representations submitted by the petitioner on 03.09.2025 and 14.11.2025 wherein a request has been made by the petitioner to consider the petitioner firm for participating in the Limited tenders being floated by the Greater Chennai corporation.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner is a registered Class-I Contractor of the Greater Chennai Corporation and is authorised to submit tenders for works contracts called for by the Greater Chennai Corporation. The respondent is holding tenders as a limited tender with the option of submitting bids only by a select list of contractors as decided by them. The petitioner has submitted a representation to the second respondent seeking permission to permit the petitioner to participate in such limited tenders on 03.09.2025 and the same is not considered. Hence, the present writ petition.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioners representation within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.
4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation will be considered and orders will be passed within the
stipulated time as fixed by this Court.
5. Heard the learned counsel for both side and perused the materials available on record.
6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this court directs the second respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 03.09.2025 and 14.11.2025 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
