This Petition has been filed to permit the petitioners to be impleaded in w.P.No. 37039 of 2025.

2. In the affidavit filed in support of the petition, it had been stated that the Writ Petition had been filed by "promotees" working in the office of the Central Board of Direct Taxes at Tamilnadu. They had obtained leave to file the Writ Petition before this Court.

3. The Original Application before the Tribunal was filed by the 'Direct Recruits' seeking proper implementation of rota quota. According to them there were excess 'Promotees'. The Tribunal had allowed the Original Application. Questioning that particular order, several Writ Petitions have been filed before this Court.

4. It would only be appropriate that all the writ petitions are heard

together. It would not be required for the petitioners to file impleading application in all the pending Writ Petition, but they can advance arguments not only in this Writ Petition but also in connected Writ Petitions.

5. W.M.P.No. 2967 of 2026 stands allowed.

6. Registry is directed to carry out necessary amendment reflecting the petitioners herein as further respondents in W.P.No. 37039 of 2025.

7. List the Writ Petition along with W.P.No. 4735 of 2025 on 18.02.2026.
