The petitioner is qualified for the post of Assistant Professor in the Government Arts and Science Colleges and Government Colleges of Education. While being so, the second respondent issued notification dated 16.10.2025 for recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor in Tamilnadu Collegiate Educational Service for Government Arts and Science Colleges and Government Colleges of Education. The last date for submitting application through online was 10.11.2025. The petitioner applied for the said post on 07.11.2025 and there were technical errors in the portal. Therefore, the petitioner could not submit her application. Likewise, more than 25 candidates are facing the same problem and the respondents had granted edit option from 11.11.2025 to 13.11.2025. Once again, the petitioner tried to submit her application. However, she could not upload her application along with the documents. Therefore, the petitioner submitted representation to consider her candidature as per the notification for direct recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor. 3/8

On instruction, the learned counsel for the respondents submitted that the second respondent had commenced the process of receiving online application on 17.10.2025 and the last date expired on 10.11.2025. Further time extension was given by way of addendum notification No.4-B of 2025 dated 28.10.2025 only for uploading the experience certificate till 30.11.2025. Further the second respondent also had given time for edit option from 11.11.2025 to 13.11.2025 to rectify any errors or mistakes in the online application submitted by the candidates. Only at that juncture, the petitioner and others approached the second respondent on the ground that they were unable to submit their online applications due to technical error. However, the petitioner did not inform about the same even before the cut off date. Though the petitioner was given enough time to submit application, the petitioner did not submit her application in time.

However, on perusal of records, it is found that the petitioner submitted representation in this regard before the second respondent, which is pending. Therefore, without expressing any opinion on merits of the writ petition, the second respondent is directed to dispose of the said representation on merits and in accordance with law as early as possible. 5.
With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
