The petitioner herein apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(a), 4(1)(i), 4(1)C, 4(1)A of Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act in Crime No.567 of 2025, on the file of the respondent Police, seek anticipatory bail. 1/3

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was found in possession of 140 numbers of brandy bottles each containing 180 ml. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that the petitioner has twenty previous cases. Hence, he opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the nature of the offences and the bad antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 27.11.2025 sma 2/3
