O R D E R

The petitioner herein apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 6(4) of TNSC (RDCS) Order 1982 read with Section 7(1)(a)(ii) of Essential Commodities Act, 1955 in Crime No.336 of 2025, on the file of the respondent Police, seek 1/4

anticipatory bail.

2. The allegation against the petitioner along with other accused were involved in illegal transportation of 1800 kgs of rice meant for Public Distribution System. Hence the case.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prayed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that, petitioner has five previous cases.

5. Heard the learned counsels on either side and perused the materials available on record.

6. Considering the gravity of the offence committed by the petitioner and also considering the fact that the petitioner has five previous cases, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 2/4
