ORDER

The petitioner herein apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the punishable offences under Sections 7(5) and 20(2) of Cigarette and other Tobacco Products Act, 2003 r/w 123, 274 and 275 of BNS Act, 2023 in Crime No.325 of 2025 on the file of the

respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused were found in possession of 66 kgs of banned tobacco products. Hence, the present case.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in the case and hence he prayed for the grant of bail to the petitioner. 4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that the investigation is pending. He further submitted that, the petitioner has no previous case.

5. Considering the huge quantity of the contraband recovered from the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 27.11.2025 kmm To
