ORDER

Writ Petition No.47144 of 2025 has been filed to direct the fourth respondent authority herein to provide employment to the petitioners daughter -in-law S. Poongodi based on the representation dated 29.12.2017

2. Writ Petition No.47147 has been filed to direct the fourth respondent authority herein to provide employment to the petitioners daughter Tulasi Priya on the application dated 03.09.2015.

3. It is the case of the petitioners that the land was acquired by the Government for the purpose of construction of Mettur Dam, Thermal Power Plant Upper Ash Dye wherein the petitioners property also taken for extension of the said Project. Accordingly, the Special Thasildar/TNEB Department has promised to offer an alternative lands for residence/remuneration/employment to the persons who are displaces and evicted by the acquisition. Some persons

have been appointed and some are yet to get appointed. Hence, the petitioner in both the writ petitions have made representations on 29.12.2017 and 03.09.2015 to the respondents to provide employment to their family member. Till date, the same are not considered. Hence, the writ petitions.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that this Court may direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioners representations within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

5. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 4th respondent submitted that the representation will be considered and orders will be passed within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

6. Heard the learned counsel for both side and perused the materials available on record.

7. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this court directs the 4th respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioners representations dated 29.12.2017 and 03.09.2015 within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
