O R D E R

The petitioner seeks production of his son, namely, Sathya @ 1/4

Sathiyaraj, aged about 34 years, who is said to be mentally retarded, before this Court and hand over his custody to him.

2. According to the petitioner, his son went out of the house on 20.04.2015 and thereafter, he did not return to house till 22.04.2015. Despite hectic search, he could not be located. Based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, a case in Crime No.614 of 2015 has also been registered. The petitioner stated that he came to know about a video circulated in the social media that his son is under care and custody of a Home, namely, 'Anbin Vamsam Arakkattalai', Cuddalore District.

3. We have also watched the video shown by the learned counsel for the petitioner from his mobile across the bar. In fact, in the video, the petitioner's son is found to be happily playing with other inmates. In such view of the matter, it is open to the petitioner to approach the Home concerned and make a representation for visiting his son. If any such representation is made by the petitioner, the in-Charge / Authority of Anbin Vamsam Arakkattalai, Cuddalore District shall permit the petitioner to see his son. The respondent Police shall ensure that there is no hindrance caused 2/4

to the petitioner to visit his son.

4. With the above direction, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
