Ms.S.Pavithra, learned Standing Counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2/5
2.The petitioners have filed this writ petition seeking direction to the respondents to pay interest of 10% to the petitioners for belated payment of gratuity, leave salary, provident fund and commutation of pension amounts and 10 days earned leave salary. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners retired from service during 2018 - 2024 and their terminal benefits were paid belatedly and hence some of the petitioners made representation dated 24.10.2025; some of the petitioners made representation dated 26.10.2025; some of the petitioners made representation dated 28.10.2025; some of the petitioners made representation dated 31.10.2025; and some of the petitioners made representation dated 08.11.
2025 to the respondents seeking to pay interest for the belated payment of terminal benefits, however, there is no response. Hence, this Court may without going into the merits of the case, issue direction to the respondents to consider the petitioners representation dated 24.10.2025, 26.10.2025, 28.10.2025, 31.10.2025, 08.11.2025 and to pass appropriate orders, within a reasonable time frame.

4.Considering the limited relief now sought for by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, direct the respondents to consider the petitioners representation dated 24.10.2025, 26.10.2025, 28.10.2025, 31.10.2025, 08.11.2025, on merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders, as expeditiously as possible. 5.The writ petition is disposed of.
