to condone the delay of 70 days in filing the written statement. Learned counsel for the plaintiff has no objection to this application being allowed.

2. In the affidavit in support of this application, it is stated that the applicants were engaged in contesting the interim application and therefore could not file the written statement in time. Upon considering these reasons, SENTHILKUMAR RAMAMOORTHY,J rna being satisfied that sufficient cause is shown, delay of 70 days in filing the written statement by the first and second defendants is condoned. Consequently, the Registry is directed to receive the written statement of the first and second defendants.
