The present Criminal Original Petition has been filed to call for the records in Cr.No.346 of 2017 on the file of Ethappur Town Police Station, Salem, filed against the petitioner and to quash the same.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submits that since the crime pertains to the year 2017, the respondent police have dropped further action on the ground of limitation.
